New signing Joleon Lescott of Manchester City was unhappy about his old manager's comment. David Moyes claimed that he was utterly 'dissapointed' over the 22 million pounds transfer and critize Lescott as 'disrespectful' towards his teammates.

Moyes also added that Lescott displayed a 'poor attitude' and was dropped from the line-up against Sigma Olomouc. Lescott reply that the comments were 'inaccurate' and the moves to Manchester city was nothing but a 'positive' points.

"I don't think I disrespected any of the players. If I did I apologise. I'd like to think they thought I gave my all when I played. I know it wasn't my finest game for Everton (against Arsenal). It was a collective effort and obviously Arsenal were better than us on the day", he added.
His teammates, Tony Hibbert, was dissapointed also with the move but does not blamed him. he said that the move was 'a big loss' to Everton. "He was a great player for us, Joleon, and a great lad as well, The character he brought to the place - he was a great lad to be around".
